On the I Feel Bad episode “My Kids Barely Know Their Culture,” when David’s (Paul Adelstein) parents come to town for Hanukkah, he and his wife Emet (Sarayu Blue) pretend they’re more observant than they actually are. When Emet’s mother Maya (Madhur Jaffrey) finds out, an in-law culture clash ensues. David’s mother, Irene, is portrayed by Caroline Aaron. His father, Max, is portrayed by Alfred Molina.
Alfred Molina is known for his roles on Angie Tribeca (Dr. Edelweiss), Law & Order: LA (Ricardo Morales) and in a variety of films including Red (Mark Rothko), Spider-Man (Doc Ock/Dr. Otto Octavius), Frida opposite Salma Hayek (Diego Rivera), Chocolat (Comte de Reynaud), Magnolia (Solomon Solomon), Boogie Nights (Rahad Jackson), and Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark (Satipo, see photos below), among many others. I Feel Bad airs Thursdays at 9:30 pm on NBC, right after Will & Grace and right before Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Molina was also in Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes…

Alfred Molina had not worked for the big screen before. But 10 minutes were enough for Spielberg to decide to give him the role of Satipo. He loved the opportunity to work in Raiders, in spite of spiders. pic.twitter.com/H34HKUqqYZ— The Indiana Jones Picture Gallery Project (@Barnett_College) August 30, 2018
