Shark Tank: OatMeals is a build-your-own oatmeal bar in the tony neighborhood of Greenwich Village (120 West 3rd Street) in New York City. The all-oatmeal cafe offers close to 30 signature sweet and savory oatmeal bowls and various oat-based pastries. You choose from three different sizes of bowls: Baby Bear, 8 oz, $4.50; Mama Bear, 12 oz, $5.40; and Papa Bear, 16 oz., $6.50. Prices of toppings (dried fruit, nuts and seeds, chocolate chips, ginger snaps, bacon, ham, soy sauce, truffle oil, you name it) vary. Splashes of milk and spices are complimentary. The founder behind OatMeals, chef Samantha Stephens, is pitching the business, which she hopes to expand, on Shark Tank on December 2.
Stephens has the good fortune of pitching before billionaire Mark Cuban and New York City real estate maven Barbara Corcoran who earlier this year invested $400,000 in New York’s popular avocado bar, Avocaderia. Cuban also recently invested $150,000 in Sanaia Applesauce, a line of gourmet applesauce designed for adults (also in New York City), which could be a potential partner for OatMeals. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC, right after Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. [Related: 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products at Amazon]
