In the Below Deck episode “Let Them Eat Chicken”, the aftermath of deckhand Ashton Pienaar‘s accident has the entire crew shaken up, especially Captain Lee Rosbach. While the deck crew is on edge with a man down, Laura Betancourt struggles to fall in line with her third stew role and her chief stew boss Kate Chastain. Laura claims to have been a chief stew but Kate isn’t buying it. When Kate finds a deck towel in one of the cabins before dinner, she says, “Chief stew my heiney!”

Meanwhile, chef Adrian Martin is busy in the kitchen making dinner. When his oven-steamed chicken breast rolled with mozzarella, tomato and basil dish (with spinach polenta and asparagus) is served to the guests, “drunk Carrie” complains that chicken wasn’t on her food preference list. While everyone agrees that the chicken is good, “none of us ordered it,” says Carrie. A guest across the dinner table laughs, “Chicken is what poor people eat,” another guest agrees, “You’re not wrong.” When Carrie’s complaint is brought to Adrian’s attention, he makes her a plate of sauteed scallops, which rich people eat, btw. Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
