In the God Friended Me episode “The Prodigal Son,” while Cara (Violett Beane) gets a visit from her father Jeffrey (guest star Michael Vartan), Miles (Brandon Michael Hall) gets a Friend suggestion from God from someone he knows. His Uncle Terrance is in trouble and needs Miles’ help. But in order to help his Uncle T, some family secrets need to come out in the open.
Uncle Terrance is portrayed by Malik Yoba. He’s known for his roles on Gotham (Major Rodney Harlan), Designated Survivor (Jason Atwood), Empire (Lucious’ right-hand man Vernon Turner), Alphas (Bill Harken), Defying Gravity (Ted), Girlfriends (Brock), Bull (Corey), New York Undercover (Det. JC Williams), and in the films Why Did I Get Married? (Gavin), and Cop Land (Det. Carson, SEE LINK ABOVE), among others. Yoba will appear next in the TV series The First Wives Club. God Friended Me airs Sundays at 8:30 pm on CBS, right after 60 Minutes and right before NCIS: Los Angeles.
