In the CBS hit comedy Mom episode “Cottage Cheese and a Weird Buzz”, Bonnie’s (Allison Janney) new hobby troubles her boyfriend Adam (William Fichtner), while Christy (Anna Faris) and Jill (Jaime Pressly) clash over a gambling debt. Remember, just a month ago, Christy announced that she doesn’t need Gambler’s Anonymous anymore, which pissed off Bonnie. In that episode, Christy bonded with fellow GA member Ned. He wasn’t a good influence.

Christy’s Gambler’s Anonymous friend Ned is portrayed by Sam McMurray. McMurray is known for his roles on The Fosters (Frank Cooper), Devious Maids (Hugh Metzger, see photo below), Cristela (her boss, Trent), Scandal (Pat Wexler), The King of Queens (Doug’s supervisor O’Boyle), and The Tracey Ullman Show, among many others. Mom airs Thursdays at 9 pm on CBS, right after Young Sheldon and right before Murphy Brown.
