In The Conners episode “Tangled Up in the Blue,” Darlene’s (Sara Gilbert) ex David (Johnny Galecki) shows up at Mark’s parent/teacher conference with his new girlfriend Blue (Juliette Lewis). [“Tangled Up in Blue” is also a reference to one of Bob Dylan’s most famous story songs.] David also mentions that Mark (Ames McNamara) and his big sister Harris (Emma Kenney) will be spending the weekend with him and Blue. It’s an awkward parent/teacher conference, to say the least.
Mark’s teacher, Mrs. Reynolds, is portrayed by Lindsey Kraft. The former model is known for her roles on Living Biblically (Chip’s wife Leslie Curry), Grace and Frankie (Allison), HBO’s Getting On (Marguerite Macaw), Veep (Cassie Langley),and Third Watch (Penelope), among others. The Conners airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC.
