On the Million Dollar Listing New York episode “Whale of a Sale,” Ryan Serhant throws an open house for 374 Pacific Street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Serhant tells the buyers who show up that it is the largest home (almost 8,000 sq. ft., 26 feet wide) in the neighborhood on the market. The two-family, six-story townhouse includes 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. When taping the episode, the asking price was $9 million.
[Safran Foer’s novel was turned into a movie starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock]
374 Pacific Street was the home of novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, author of Everything Is Illuminated (2002), Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2005), and Here I Am (2016). Safran Foer bought the townhouse for $5.4 million in 2014, the same year he and his wife, author Nicole Krauss separated. Serhant ended up buying the home for himself for $7.6 million. Million Dollar Listing: New York airs Tuesdays at 10pm on Bravo.
