SockTabs is product that keeps pairs of socks together while they’re in the washing machine and dryer. The entrepreneur behind SockTabs, Tracie Burress of Rockford, Illinois, and her husband Glen Burress, pitched her business on Shark Tank in November 2015. They went into the Tank seeing an investment of $50,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity. It didn’t look like the Burresses were going to get a deal at first but at the very last minute, they did. Fashion guru Daymond John changed his mind and called them back into the Tank and invested $50,000 in exchange for 30 percent equity.
