The competition among the junior dancers on World of Dance is fierce on Season 2. During the final night of qualifiers, judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough watch ballet/contemporary duo Avery and Marcus from Los Angeles, and solo flamenco dancer Victoria Caban from Jersey City, New Jersey. Victoria, a freshman at High Tech High School, gives a fierce performance set to the sexy Rihanna song “Te Amo.” (SEE LINK BELOW,) The song “Te Amo” is about the singer’s struggle with the affections of another woman. Rihanna sings, “I feel the love, but I don’t feel that way.” In the 2010 music video, which was shot in France, the femme fatale is portrayed by French supermodel Laetitia Casta.

Like Lopez, Caban is of Puerto Rican descent. She says if she wins World of Dance, she’ll donate half of the prize money (a total of $1 million) to help rebuild the island which is still suffering after Hurricane Maria in 2017. World of Dance airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
