On Season 4 of Outdaughtered, mother of six Danielle Busby is planning to go out of town for a work conference. Remember, she and husband Adam are the owners of Rush Cycle, an indoor cycling gym. While Danielle’s away, Adam is left in charge of all six girls for the weekend. Adam is no stranger to changing diapers and he’s watched the girls before — but just not “two whole days consecutively.” Danielle, who is with the kids all day before Adam comes home from work, warns him that it’s a lot of work. “You get to do all the easy stuff,” she tells him. Adam is surprised to hear that Danielle doesn’t think he can do it. “You’re more nervous than I am,” he says. Danielle agrees, which makes her even more nervous that he doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into.
[Binge watch Outdaughtered whenever you want]
Hey, parenting solo is overwhelming for anyone, especially one parent with six kids. Danielle warns Adam, “Get ready, Mr. ‘I can do it.’” And then they disagree about giving the quints big girl beds because two of them are already crawling out of the cribs and wreaking havoc on the others. Adam is all for it. In fact, he’s big idea is to get all the quints sleeping in big girl beds while Danielle is gone. “I think Danielle just doesn’t like the stress of having to make the change.” Adam thinks that once they get that first night in big girl beds under his belt, “it’ll be smooth sailing after that.” Good luck with that, Adam! Outdaughtered airs Tuesdays at 9pm on TLC.
