On the July 30 episode of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Noah interviews Andrea Mitchell. The 71-year-old NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and host of “Andrea Mitchell Reports” was raised in New Rochelle, New York and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967. Fellow New Yorker President Donald Trump, 72, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. After college, while Trump took over his family’s real estate business, Mitchell reported on the late 1970s energy crisis and covered the White House throughout the Reagan administration (1981-1988). She is currently celebrating her 40th anniversary with NBC News.

Mitchell recently made headlines when at the Aspen Security Forum (July 19, 2018), she broke the news to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats that the White House invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to Washington in the fall. “That’s going to be special,” Coats replied, and the audience broke out in laughter. See video below. In April 2016 on Meet the Press, Mitchell was asked about Trump’s foreign policy. She said, after providing several examples of his weak knowledge: “He is completely uneducated about any part of the world.”
Mitchell is married to former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. It was the second marriage for both Mitchell and Greenspan, who is 20 years Mitchell’s senior. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg married them in 1997. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weekdays at 11pm on Comedy Central.
