The Melisizwe Brothers is a band composed of three young brothers, Marc (guitar), 15, Seth (piano), 12, and Zacary (lead vocalist), 11. They’ve made it to the Judge Cuts on America’s Got Talent, Season 13. This isn’t the first time the boys from Edmonton, Canada have been on big time American TV. They appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in December 2016 and performed the Jackson 5 song “I’ll Be There.”
After their performance, Seth announced that he wrote a rap for Ellen and the three brothers performed it together, which of course delighted Ellen. “Awesome!” she said, “I wish I had a rap ready to give to you,” which had the boys giggle. At the end of the episode, Ellen announced that she was giving the boys $5000 worth of musical equipment from Guitar Center. New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
