On the Hawaii Five-0 episode “Ka hana a ka makua, o ka hana no ia a keiki (What Parents Will Do, Children Will Do),” McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Five-0 take on the mob when a former boss is killed and Junior’s friend Cammy Lin (guest star Cindy Chu) is on the run after witnessing the hit. When not on the job, McGarrett stops by the office of Dr. Shaw, Eddie’s veterinarian.
Veterinarian Dr. Shaw is portrayed by Will Sasso. The stand-up comedian is known for his roles on Kevin (Probably) Saves the World (celestial being Dave), Modern Family (Senor Kaplan), Shameless (Yanis), $#*! My Dad Says (Vince), MADtv (Kenny Rogers, Bill Clinton), and Less Than Perfect (Carl Monari), among others. Sasso is also recognized for his roles in the films Super Troopers 2 (Mountie Archambault) and The Three Stooges (Curly) — he’s working on the sequel now with Sean Hayes (Jack on Will & Grace). Hawaii Five-0 airs Fridays at 9pm on CBS, right after MacGyver and right before Blue Bloods.
