You recognize the narrator’s voice for the marvelous Phenoms on Fox. The FIFA World Cup soccer quest documentary that explores the journeys of many of the world’s greatest footballers intros 60 players driven to achieve the ultimate: World Cup victory. On reason you may not be able to immediately place the voice is because in the case of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, this isn’t his usual lane.
The Phenoms narrator Ramsay is, of course, one of the world’s most renowned chefs. But he’s a soccer fan first. Until an injury waylaid his plans, Ramsay had designs on playing soccer professionally in Europe. These days, despite his culinary renown, Ramsay would still likely choose watching a Premier League game over dining at a 3-star restaurant. The Emmy-nominated Ramsay is as much an entertainer as a chef — and an entrepreneur first and foremost.
Ramsay produces multiple TV shows including 24 Hours to Hell & Back, Masterchef, Masterchef Junior, Hell’s Kitchen, and Masterchef Celebrity Showdown and Food Network’s competition series Food Court Wars.
