On Tuesday, May 8, the Top 10 artists on The Voice will gather on stage to learn who will advance to the Top 8, and which two artists will be sent home. But before that nail-biting moment, multi-Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth will perform on The Voice stage. It’s not his first time either. Puth sang at the Live Top 10 show on Season 12! (See photo above.) The time around the 26-year-old from Rumson, New Jersey is singing his third single “Done for Me” from his sophomore album “Voicenotes”, which will be released on Friday, May 11.
Puth says he made the record “after an unsuccessful party in L.A.” He went home and played on his little Juno keyboard and, according to Puth, “I had gotten it that night and I just hit one of these setting here and just played a B-minor cord and it just made he think of Wham!” That’s right, the 1980s English musical duo formed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley. Puth says he also thought of Kehlani, who is featured singing on “Done for Me.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
