It’s down to the Top 3 finalists on American Idol – Gabby Barrett, Maddie Poppe, and Caleb Lee Hutchinson. Caleb is the 19-year-old country singer from Dallas, Georgia who’s lost 70 lbs. from when he first auditioned in front of the Idol judges – Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. But before the big American Idol finale, right after the Mother’s Day episode, Caleb got to go home for a few days. He doesn’t just miss the familiar faces at home — including his granny and aunt Brenda and his dog — but he also misses the food. He says, “No disrespect to L.A., I just haven’t had mama’s biscuits in a while.” The winner of American Idol will be revealed on Monday, May 21 (9-11 pm on ABC). For the finale, Caleb says “I’ve got some things up my sleeve, for sure.”
