In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “NutriBoom,” NYPD detectives Jake (Andy Samberg) and Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) get suckered into the NutriBoom pyramid scheme. Things don’t get any better when Jake’s newly discovered half-sister Katie Peralta shows up in town. While Jake invited her stay with him in New York, he quickly regrets the invitation and scrambles to find a way to return to her to Dallas.
Jake’s newly discovered half-sister Katie Peralta is portrayed by Nasim Pedrad. The Iranian-born actress is best known for her as Cece on FOX’s other big hit New Girl with Zooey Deschanel. Pedrad is also recognized for her roles on People of Earth (Agent Alex Foster), Scream Queens (Gigi Caldwell, see hilarious photo below), Mulaney (Jane), Saturday Night Live (Kim Kardashian, Arianna Huffington), and ER (Nurse Suri), among others. You can see Pedrad next on the big screen in Guy Ritchie’s live-action retelling of Aladdin with Will Smith as the Genie. Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30pm on FOX, right after The Simpsons.
