American Idol is breaking all the rules as it travels to Disneyland. For the first time in American TV history, a reality competition show will let viewers at home vote from coast to coast at the same time. That’s right, American Idol will be broadcast simultaneously in all time zones beginning Sunday, April 29 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:01 p.m. PDT), on ABC. The Top 7 results will be revealed at the end of the show in real time, across all time zones. That’s why it’s more important than ever for the young talented singer to encourage their fans to vote! On Sunday, April 29, the Top 10 will sing favorite songs from Disney movies.
Heartthrob rock star Cade Foehner is singing “Kiss the Girl” from the 1989 animated classic The Little Mermaid. (Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson covered the song, too, see link above.) While getting ready for his “Kiss the Girl” performance, Cade shared a video of him dancing to the Rod Stewart song “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” at a photo shoot. He wrote: “I’ll do anything for your vote honestly. Even dance like a fool.” American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
