American Idol: Cade Foehner Compared To Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant

Cade Foehner is the tall and lanky rock and roll musician competing on American Idol. He’s come along way from his home in the woods of Shelby County, Texas where he has a micro pig. Before performing as one of the Top 14 artists on American Idol, Cade is introduced on stage by host Ryan Seacrest as one who “could be the next Robert Plant.” Robert Plant, the sexy lead singer of the ultimate rock band Led Zeppelin, also wore his hair long and performed with open buttoned shirts. Cade proceeded to perform the Santana song “Black Magic Woman.”

After the performance, judge Katy Perry asked Cade if she could get a strand of Cade’s hair for her 70-year-old mother who’s obsessed with Cade. And yes, he acquiesced with the cameras rolling. Think Cade will dare to sing a Led Zeppelin song next? He’d have to hit a lot of high-pitched notes. Plant — in his Zeppelin days — was known for his wide vocal range. American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
