On the NCIS episode “One Man’s Trash,” Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Ducky (David McCallum) see a ceremonial Viking war stick from the 1800s on the TV show American Pickers (see link below). The host, Mike Wolfe (who plays himself), tries to buy it from the owners who refuse Wolfe’s offer of $3000. Ducky believes the stick could be the weapon that was used to kill a young petty officer 16 years ago.
When Ducky arrives at the NCIS office to discuss the case, he brings his new graduate assistant Kasie Hines. She is very forthcoming with her admiration of the team and her work relationship with Ducky. “He’s supposed to have the first five chapters of his book ready by Monday and we’re nowhere close,” she explains to the NCIS team. Ducky explains to the NCIS team, “I hired Kasie to keep me on schedule. Little did I know she’s be so, uh, emphatic.” Graduate assistant Kasie is portrayed by Diona Reasonover. The 26-year-old actress is known for her roles on Grace and Frankie (Ann Reins), Transparent (Improver #2), 2 Broke Girls (Becky), Superstore (Pet Owner), and the 2015 sitcom Clipped (Charmaine Eskowitz), among others. Reasonover is also a writer for the TV show Adam Ruins Everything. NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS, right before Bull.
