In the Designated Survivor episode “The Final Frontier,” President Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) continues to grieve the loss of his murdered wife when a missile intended to bring water to stranded astronauts in space is hacked. A video of an angry Kirkman goes viral. And on top of that, the power grids in the U.S. are down. Kirkman is forced to work with the Russians to save the lives of the astronauts. To stop another cyber attack from happening on U.S. soil, Kirkman enlists the help of Dr. Andrea Frost. The aerospace engineer is in litigation with NASA but she agrees to help POTUS in this time of crisis.
Aerospace engineer Dr. Frost is portrayed by Kim Raver. Raver is known for her roles on Ray Donovan (Dr. Bergstein), Grey’s Anatomy (Dr. Teddy Altman), 24 (Sutherland’s lover Audrey Raines Bourdeau), Lipstick Jungle (Nico Reilly), and Third Watch (Kim Zambrano), among others. Designated Survivor airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC, right after American Housewife.
