In the Living Biblically episode “Honor Thy Father,” newspaper film critic Chip (Jay R. Ferguson) and his wife Leslie (Lindsey Kraft) get a surprise visit from Chip’s overbearing father Ron. The visit tests Chip’s ability to “Honor Thy Father.” He’s desperate to find a loophole to the Commandment.
Ron is portrayed by Christopher McDonald. He’s known for his roles on Ballers (Dallas Cowboys Owner), The Good Wife (Judge Schakowsky), Boardwalk Empire (US Attorney General Daugherty), Harry’s Law (Tommy Jefferson), and Family Law (Rex Weller), among others. McDonald is also recognized for his roles in the films Happy Gilmore (Shooter McGavin), Robert Redford’s Quiz Show (quick show host Jack Barry), and Thelma & Louise (Darryl), to name a few. You can see McDonald next on the big screen in Wetlands (see below). Living Biblically airs Mondays at 9:30pm on CBS, right after Superior Donuts, and right before Scorpion.
[NOTE about streaming: Cable cutters can watch a live stream of any CBS show through Amazon Prime or CBS ALL-ACCESS. Both options offer free trials.]
