In one of the first Sweet Sixteen games in the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, #7 Nevada Wolf Pack plays against vs. Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers. The game will be broadcast on CBS on Thursday, March 22 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta. The University of Nevada in Reno’s head coach is Eric Musselman, the former NBA head coach — Golden State Warriors (2002-2004) and Sacramento Kings (2006-2007). He and his father Bill Musselman were the first father-son coaches in NBA history. Bill Musselman coached the Cleveland Cavaliers (1980-1982) and Minnesota Timberwolves (1989-1991).

After coaching in the NBA, Eric Musselman coached the D-League team Reno Bighorns, where he coached NBA champion Danny Green before he made it to the Spurs, and Jeremy Lin before Linsanity hit New York. Another fun fact: Eric Musselman is married to former sports announcer Danyelle Sargent (ESPN, FOX Sports, NFL Network). They married in 2009 and have a 8-year-old daughter named Mariah.
Big ups to Nevada Head Coach Eric Musselman headed to the Sweet 16.
