Former stand-up comedian Steve Harvey launched his career at Showtime at the Apollo and now he’s hosting the legendary talent competition on FOX. With his co-host Adrienne Houghton, Harvey will introduce a number of talented acts onto the stage. On the season premiere (March 1), Harvey welcomes a dance team from Delhi, India known as Team Shraey Khanna.
The five-man troupe wear matching blue velvet suits and black ties. FOX promotes the act as “Michael Jackson meets Bollywood” because their moves are clearly inspired by the King of Pop and set to Bollywood music. Team Shraey Khanna is known in India for their synchronized dancing with a dash of magic. They’re no joke. Shraey Khanna is the creator of India’s Most Viewed Dance Video – 84Million+ views (see two below). At the Apollo, they charm the socks off of the audience who give them a standing ovation. Showtime at the Apollo airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX, right after Gotham.
