The Voice Season 14 is here, kicking off with the always entertaining Blind Auditions on February 26. This season begins steeped in style, of course — The Voice, which tends to dominate the Emmy Awards, always brings the style. Coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson put on a vintage Vegas act to kick things off, setting the stage for a new season of competition and memory making. (See video below.)
So many powerful performers have graced The Voice over the years that even the most recent successes can slip from The Voice fans’ memories. Being told that the new season was on tap, some fans struggled to remember who emerged as THE VOICE in Season 13. It was the rocker Chloe Kohanski, whose victory put Blake Shelton into a fun tie with basketball legend Michael Jordan at six championships apiece. (In their respective fields, of course.) Fun facts: At 6’5″ Blake Shelton is just an inch shorter than Jordan too, and both are native Southerners. The similarities may end there: there is no public knowledge about whether Blake can jump. Want to know why Chloe Kohanski won? See video below. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
