Get ready, America. The Voice is back for Season 14 with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, returning Alicia Keys and newbie Kelly Clarkson. The Blind Auditions will begin on February 26. One of the first up is Kyla Jade, a 33-year-old woman with big hair and matching big eyelashes. On stage, she dares to sing Miss Aretha Franklin’s song “See Saw.” When she hits that high note, Blake Shelton hits his buzzer and stands up when his chair turns around. Unfortunately for Blake, Kelly Clarkson also hits her buzzer.

After the performance, Alicia Keys tells Kyla the way she hit those high notes and with such easy was “spectacular.” Kelly tries to win Kyla over by saying Aretha is one of the reasons why she sings and says, “I love your hair, I love your look, I love everything about you.” Sassy, confidence and boss are other words she tosses at Kyla. When Blake asks Kyla what she’s doing in Nashville, Kyla reveals that she’s been singing backup for last season’s Voice coach Jennifer Hudson. “I was on this stage, doo-wopping behind her,” Kyla says which has all the coaches beaming. Kelly tells Kyla she always lets her backup singers do their thing, and then Blake reminds everyone that he first won The Voice (Season 2) with one of Alicia Keys’ backup singers Jermaine Paul. It’s a tough decision for Kyla Jade. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
