The 36th season of Survivor returns on February 28. The theme is “Ghost Island” as the 20 new castaways are living on a haunted island filled with Survivor relics (idols and advantages) from previous seasons of the show. The relics represent mistakes made by previous players. The new castaways face the challenge of learning from the past mistakes and to “reverse the curse.” Only one castaway will survive and win the $1 million prize. (The show returns to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji.)
Survivor host Jeff Probst describes the new group as “overall, really likable people.” Probst says he loves castaway Michael Yerger. “I forget he’s 18,” Probst says of the young real estate agent. Probst explains that “In real life, he (Michael) lives a lie. He tells people he’s in his twenties because of his job,” which Probst says “is a bizarre thing.” What’s really ironic is the script tattoo on Michael’s chest that reads: On My Honor…” Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
