My 600-lb Life takes its camera crews into the home of Robert, a young man who weighs 842lbs. Robert says every morning when he wakes up he feels “both blessed and shocked at the same time.” The camera films him in bed, waking, naked. “It’s almost unbelievable that I woke up,” says Robert. The pain that he feels when he wakes up is “all over.” In order to do simple everyday morning things like go to the bathroom, or take a bath, he needs the help of his fiancée Kathryn.
Robert knows he has to do something in order to save his life and future with Kathryn. Lucky for him, his fiancée helps him prepare for his meeting in Houston with gastric bypass surgeon Dr. Nowzaradan. My 600-lb Life airs Wednesdays at 8pm on TLC.
