In the Black Ink Crew episode “The Lingerie Soiree,” Sky tells everyone at 113 that she wants them to give the new manager in training Tatiana another chance. Tatiana met everyone at the Halloween party, and that did not go well. (She criticized Young Bae’s work, for starters). While Sky understands that no one wants to be told what to do, especially by someone they don’t know, the shop does need a manager. The tattoo artists need supervision. Plus, once Tatiana is fully trained, Sky can get back to her mansion in Atlanta.
When Tatiana returns for her second chance, Sky thinks Tatiana is saying all the right things and they’re eating it up. She tells apprentice Alex she really likes his work. When she compliments Bae, Bae says, “Maybe she ain’t so bad.” But then she gets to Donna’s “blackout” tattoos, Donna gets defensive and says it’s not Tatiana’s job to critique her work. Tatiana disagrees. Donna approaches Tatiana, who throws a hand at Donna’s face. If 113 doesn’t work maybe Tati will go back to Miami where she used to manage Empire Ink Lifestyle. On the job, she once met Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner (see photo below). Black Ink Crew airs Wednesdays at 9pm on VH1.
