Chastain Park Memorial Hospital is the setting for the new FOX medical drama The Resident. Third-year resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuckry) is cool and cocky and fancies himself a mentor to new intern Dr. Devon Pravesh’s (Manish Dayal). But not all the doctors approve of Conrad’s “unconventional” approaches to medicine. Conrad must learn to work with Chief of Surgery Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) and oncologist Dr. Lane Hunter.
Dr. Lane Hunter is portrayed by Melina Kanakaredes. She’s known for her roles on Notorious (Dana Hartman), Extant (Dorothy), CSI: NY (Stella Bonasera), Providence (Dr. Sydney Hansen), Leaving L.A. (Libby), and Guiding Light (Eleni Andros), among others. Kanakaredes is also recognized for her roles in the films Snitch with Dwayne Johnson (Sylvie Collins) and 15 Minutes with Robert De Niro and Edward Burns (Nicolette Karas). The Resident airs Sundays at 10pm on FOX.
