In the Hallmark movie Frozen in Love, a struggling bookstore owner (aren’t they all?) named Mary Campbell meets “bad boy” hockey player Adam Clayborne (Niall Matter). Their first encounter wasn’t a good one. But both have to do something drastic to save their careers so they (a publicist pushes them together) decide to work together to improve the other’s professional image. Problem is Mary thinks Adam is arrogant and Adam thinks Mary is uptight. But opposites attract, don’t you know? And they fall in love.

Mary is portrayed by Rachel Leigh Cook. She’s known for her roles on Psych (Abigail Lytar), Las Vegas (Penny Posin), Dawson’s Creek (Devon), and in the films She’s All That with Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Laney Boggs), Get Carter (Doreen), Josie and the Pussycats (Josie), and The Baby-Sitters Club (Mary Anne Spier), among others. Frozen in Love premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 13 at 9pm.
