On the second episode of The Bachelor, contestant Becca K (K is for Kufrin) gets to have a one-on-one romantic date with Arie. They ride a motorcycle to Malibu where they’re met by reality TV fashion stylist turned designer Rachel Zoe. But does the 27-year-old publicist from Minnesota really need a makeover? That’s a rhetorical question – no one needs a makeover if they’re happy with themselves. Wouldn’t it be more interesting if Arie got a makeover?
Either way, Arie will never be the most suave man this side of the Mississippi in Becca’s eyes. That title belongs to somebody else: her late father, Steven Karl Kufrin (see photos below). Becca says he gets the “Father-of-a-Lifetime award for putting up with me between the ages of 3-17.” Becca continues to learn more about her father too, and in her words “get sappy” about him from time to time. In February 2017, she was told that a pond in Illinois was named after her father. He was a Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) Coordinator. See Becca’s tearjerker note below.
