The latest re-imagining of Elmore Leonard’s classic novel Get Shorty, delivers the dark adventure comedy to television. It follows a former hitman from Nevada, Miles Daly (Chris O’Dowd), as he struggles to shed his past and make it in Hollywood by teaming up with the down-on-his-luck producer Rick Moreweather (Ray Romano). Chasing the ex-mobster and movie producer is FBI Agent Buchholz, who isn’t giving up on the idea that this unlikely duo is laundering illegal money under the guise of a big budget film production.
FBI Agent Buchholz is portrayed by Cory Blevins. This fall, Blevins also appeared as the wealthy victim Jake Kemp in the new show S.W.A.T.; and as bank manager Gary Pierson in the western-drama Longmire. Blevins is best known for his recurring roles as Gary Olsen on Fresh Off the Boat and as the Network Lawyer facing-off with George Lopez on Lopez. He also entered the courtroom as a Divorce Lawyer recurring in American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson; and made guest appearances on Law & Order, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Dexter, Justified, and N.C.I.S. among others. Fun fact: Get Shorty author Elmore Leonard lived in Blevins’ hometown, Rochester Hills, Michigan. Get Shorty airs on Epix and all major streaming platforms including Amazon.
