In the NCIS: Los Angeles episode “Fool Me Twice,” CIA Agent Joelle Taylor reappears. She tells the team that she has escaped from a kidnapping but not everyone is buying her story. She tells Callen (Chris O’Donnell) that the CIA has “disavowed all knowledge of me.” Callen assumes the agency fired her but she insists that she quit and she didn’t know everything that the rogue CIA group was doing, the one that turned her on Callen.
