There are six artists left on The Voice‘s Team Miley — Ashland Craft, Moriah Formica, Janice Freeman, Brooke Simpson, Karli Webster, and the only man left Adam Pearce. The final round of the Playoffs (November 15) is going to be difficult for coach Miley Cyrus. Of the six, only 3 will advance to the Top 12. The competition is fierce, and the singers aren’t holding back. While Brooke Simpson dares to sing the iconic James Brown song “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” Adam Pearce dives into the power ballad “Love Hurts.”

Most people associate the song with the 1970s Scottish hard rock band Nazareth but the song first appeared on the 1960 album A Date with The Everly Brothers. From there on, lots of people recorded their own versions of “Love Hurts” including Rob Orbison, Emmylou Harris (she re-recorded it twice!). Even Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Who used to play “Love Hurts” in the 1960s and sang it during their Reunion Tour in 1989. The Voice airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
