Tara Brown, the inventor of The Sleep Styler, pitched her business on Shark Tank in March. She negotiated a deal with Lori Greiner — $75,000 in exchange for 25 percent equity. Within five minutes of the episode airing, Brown sold out of all of her inventory. Three months after the episode, The Sleep Styler hit the $50 million mark in sales. Greiner (who launched a nationwide campaign including QVC, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Walmart) says: “The response after The Sleep Styler aired was unbelievable. I’d never hit this kind of number in that amount of time with any of my Shark Tank entrepreneurs.”

In a Shark Tank Update, Greiner tells Brown: “We’re going to take over for you – all of the manufacturing, the fulfillment,” which will allow Brown to do what she loves to do — run her ophthalmology practice and raise her kids. Shark Tank airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
