The Voice has welcomed several coaches since Season 1 in 2011. It all started with Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. The last two of course haven’t left since and the show has only boosted their already big brand names. Levine has since launched a clothing line and Shelton found love on The Voice with fellow coach Gwen Stefani. For the forthcoming Season 14, Kelly Clarkson will make her debut on the talent show, and Alicia Keys will return. Keys won Season 12 with her R&B artist Chris Blue.

Alicia Keys is a fan favorite coach for many reasons including her “realness” (she rarely wore makeup on the show) and her confidence. She didn’t have to say much to woo an artist onto her team. Keys’ peaceful presence on The Voice might have something to do with her resume. Alicia Keys has won 15 Grammy Awards, more than any other coach on The Voice. Kelly Clarkson won 3 Grammys, Adam Levine with Maroon 5 won 3 Grammys, and Blake Shelton has yet to win a Grammy. The Voice judge who comes closest to Keys’ 15 Grammys is Pharrell — he’s won 10. Usher won 8. Xtina won 5; CeeLo Green won 3; Shakira 2; Gwen Stefani won one (with Kendrick Lamar); Miley Cyrus has yet to win one. But Miley’s only 24. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
