On the Ballers episode “Ride and Die,” while Ricky (John David Washington) hears angry Amber (Brittany S. Hall) tell him he “maybe” has “a couple of seasons left,” Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) and Joe (Rob Corddry) miss a lunch with Wayne Hastings, Jr. (Steve Guttenberg) who tells them “If you can’t make lunch, how are you going to move a team?” Spencer has another intense meeting with the owner of the Dallas Cowboys to try to convince him that Vegas needs a football team. While wearing a robe and smoking a cigar, the owner tells Spencer, “People are always looking for new ways to knock us down.” Spencer smiles and says, “I can relate to that one.” But the owner tells Spencer, “Yeah, but you had it coming though.”
