Mandy Harvey is the 29-year-old singer on America’s Got Talent who lost all of her hearing during her freshman year at Colorado State University. Mandy is so talented and inspirational that AGT judge Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer after her audition. (She sang one of her original songs, “Try”.) Mandy could win it all. She certainly has the experience — she released four albums including “All of Me” (see link below) before appearing on America’s Got Talent. And now she’s adding author to her resume.
A few days before performing at the AGT Live Shows, Mandy announced on Facebook that she’s written a memoir, Sensing the Rhythm: Finding My Voice in a World Without Sound, with the help of Mark Atteberry. It’s available for pre-order now, and will be released September 26, just one week after the winner of America’s Got Talent, Season 12 is announced. Mandy said she is excited about the book “and sharing the stories of the many people and situations that helped me find hope again so i could get up off the floor.” America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
