On Steve Harvey’s Funderdome, Lauren Lovett, the inventor of The Speech Ring tells the audience that her product is going to make “all of your relationships better.” The vocal and speech coach says it’s ideal for giving a presentation, a speech, or if you want to stop mumbling! Lauren demonstrates how the practice tool, a BPA-free, nontoxic ring, works by putting The Speech Ring in her mouth, held by her incisors and reciting Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickles. It’s garbled of course. But when she takes it out and recites it again, it’s as clear as crystal.
[Think King George VI would have tried The Speech Ring?]
Lauren uses the analogy of a doughnut weight on a bat to practice your swing. The Speech Ring “will excite your muscles and engage your breath, and you won’t have to think about it.” The Speech Ring is available for $65. The Speech Ring will go head-to-head with The Yummy Mitt, a soft teething mitten. Steve Harvey’s Funderdome airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC, right after Celebrity Family Feud.
