On the first round of The Voice Knockouts (April 3), Team Alicia is up with two female powerhouse voices — Ashley Levin (formerly of Team Blake) and Lilli Passero (who Adam Levine said could win the show). For the Knockouts, Ashley sings the 1969 Bobbie Gentry song about women’s lib “Fancy”. Lilli sings the 2006 Amy Winehouse song “Tears Dry on Their Own” which is about a woman getting over a man, an “inevitable withdrawal” but that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t hurt.

After the performances, Gwen Stefani says she would go with Ashley. Adam Levine reiterates that Lilli can win the competition and Blake Shelton sums up Lilli as being “calm, cool, and collected, she’s just doing what she knows she was born to do.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
