Southern Charm is back for a fourth season and yes, more drama will follow Thomas Ravenel and the mother of his two children Kathryn Dennis. But there will be fresh new drama too, mostly with new cast member Austen Kroll. He’s not a North Carolina native (Washington, D.C.) but was raised by his parents Tom and Wendy “to be the contagiously charismatic, undoubtedly kind and relentlessly loyal friend that every southern gentleman should strive to be.” Well, we’ll see. His good friend Shep Rose is going to question Austen’s loyalty on the show.
After graduating from the University of Alabama and traveling to New Zealand, Austen decided to return to North Carolina. Or as he explains on his Bravo bio: “In the immortal words of Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant, ‘Mama called, and when mama calls then you just have to come running.'” Austen likes to post photos of him with his family including his mother Wendy whom apparently Austen inherited his good looks.
