Instead of the subject of articles titled “What’s wrong with IU Basketball?” If new head coach Archie Miller brings his most recent experience to Indiana, that’s exactly what’ll happen. Miller comes from the Dayton Flyers, who have been living up to their name, making four NCAA tournament appearances in a row. Now Miller will take charge of one of the most storied college basketball programs in the country.
Indiana’s place in the college hoops pantheon will allow Miller to recruit at a whole new level. Add to that his prowess with the x’s and o’x and you’ve got a winning choice — at a program ready for resurgence. All the basketball eminences asked about Indiana’s savvy Miller hire said it was a great fit. Those big names included Kentucky’s John Calipari, Notre Dame’s Mike Brey, and Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, who as a Big Ten rival will face Miller most. Miller said:
