In the APB episode ‘Daddy’s Home’, while police officers Brandt (Taylor Handley) and Goss (Tamberla Perry) investigate a grand-theft auto case, Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk) gets a visit from his father Joe who’s in big trouble. The way Gideon sees it: Joe got caught scamming a bad guy and now Joe is scamming his son to get out of it. When Joe pleads with Gideon and says, “I’m trying to do the right thing,” Gideon yells, “Give me a break!”
Gideon’s father is portrayed by John Heard. The veteran actor is known for his roles in the Home Alone films (as Macaulay Culkin’s father), Big (Paul, Tom Hanks’ nemesis at work), Awakenings (Dr. Kaufman), and Beaches (John, Bette Midler’s husband), among many others. APB airs Mondays at 9pm on FOX.
