In the Chicago Fire episode ‘Deathtrap,’ a fire is set in a work/live warehouse which kills 39 people. One of the survivors is the daughter of Chicago PD detective Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas), Lexi Olinsky (Alina Jenine Taber). The arson story continues immediately on Chicago PD where the team of detectives chase down the arsonist responsible for Lexi being in critical condition. The story continues on the series premiere of Chicago Justice, too, where the suspect is on trial. Throughout the three-show crossover story, Alvin’s estranged wife Meredith appears.
Olinsky’s wife Meredith is portrayed by Melissa Carlson. When not on a Dick Wolf Chicago set, Carlson is in the Windy City teaching Shakespeare to Chicago-area students. And yes, she is a Cubs fan. Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 8pm, Chicago P.D. airs at 9pm, and Chicago Justice airs at 10pm on NBC.
