Dave Vasen of San Francisco is the founder of BrightWheel, an early education (preschool, childcare, camp) software platform that streamlines communication between schools (teachers and administrators) and the homes of their students. After raising $2.2 million seed round (Eniac Ventures and RRE Ventures) in 2015, Vasen (Stanford, Wharton MBA, former Amazon executive) pitched BrightWheel on Shark Tank. He made a deal with Mark Cuban and guest investor Chris Sacca – each put in $300k for 3.34 percent equity.

After the show, Sacca said of Vasen: “My best entrepreneurs always have one thing in common: They radiate a sense of the inevitability of their success. Dave didn’t need to sell us. Instead you can tell he just knows that Brightwheel is going to win the space. That’s simply irresistible.”
