In the 2013 Lifetime movie The Wrong Woman, Ellen Plainview (Danica McKellar, The Wonder Years) was the wrong woman accused of a violent crime. In the sequel, Mommy, I Didn’t Do It, it’s Ellen’s 17-year-old daughter Julie (Paige Searcy) who’s falsely accused. Julie has been charged with first-degree murder and it’s up to Ellen to prove her daughter’s innocence. It won’t be easy as she faces prosecutor Kimberly Bains in court.
Prosecutor Kimberly Bains is portrayed by Jen Lilley. She’s best known for her roles on the soap operas Days of Our Lives (Theresa Donovan) and General Hospital (Maxie Jones). Fun fact: Lilley is the daughter of a real-life judge, Vincent A. Lilley of Roanoke, Virginia. After 22 years on the bench, Judge Lilley is retiring at the end of this year. Lilley is also a singer. Her Tinsel Time Christmas album is a bestseller on Amazon. Mommy, I Didn’t Do It premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, January 1 at 8pm.
