You never know what’s going to happen when two superstar singers get together backstage. At the premiere of the animated film Sing, TheShadeRoom posted a video of Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson — both of whom have songs on the Sing soundtrack. Wonder’s upbeat hit “Faith” features Ariana Grande. Hudson handles the more poetic Beatles tunes, “Golden Slumbers /Carry That Weight,” on her own. (Sing will be out in theaters on December 21.)
In the video (below), Wonder encourages Hudson’s 7-year-old son David to sing — but he’s shy. His mother encourages him, “Give it that bravado.” After a few more shy moments, David delivers.
