One week after being elected the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump met with undefeated former world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather. The two posed with Donald Trump, Jr. who posted it on social media with the caption: “Had a great visit from @FloydMayweather today with @realdonaldtrump. One of the best all time boxing legends.”
In 2011, Mayweather pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery domestic violence. He was later released from prison after serving 60 days. In 2013 and 2014, Mayweather was named the most highly paid athlete in the world. In 2015, he was accused by his frenemy 50 Cent of being illiterate. When 50 Cent offered to donate $750K if the boxer could read an entire page of “any Harry Potter book,” Mayweather responded by reading out his latest two checks totaling $72,276,000.00. Now that’s a Trump-like response.
