Horror master Stephen King found the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency scarier than anything even he had imagined before. (And that’s saying something.) Now with Trump’s win, King says he will be “shutting down” on Twitter — no more politics or “amusing dog pictures” for the “immediate future.”
No more book recommendations, politics, or amusing dog pictures for the immediate future. I’m shutting down.

King campaigned vehemently against Trump on social media, calling this the “ugliest election in living memory.” He stopped back one time after saying he’s shut down to post the content of a sign common in antique stores: “IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU OWN IT.”
One more thing before I drift away for awhile: A common sign in antiques stores reading IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU OWN IT.
